This is actually a hard job for many newer actors. When you prepare for a comedy role remember a few things.

1. Don't force a laugh, people can tell when the laugh is unnatural.

2. focuse on the scene and your partner(s) if you concentrate the laugh will be more orgainc and less practiced.

3. When doing improv remember your not out to make people laugh you do the scene as your character honestly would act. Along the line some funny areas will arise.

Great! More excellent tips. I'll remember that if I ever do a comedy scene. Even though I prefer drama; my tastes may change in the future; and I might do a comedy. I'll always remember those. I'll have to print them off; with your permission of course. :)

A comedy would be very hard for me to do, because I'm always ready to crack a laugh; so  I think that I might have to wait awhile to do a comedy. I wouldn't want to upset the movie at all. :)

Where do you get all these tips? They are absolutely amazing! I have to add these to my list as well. I would be nervous doing a comedy because its meant to be funny and I don't know if I could make people laugh.

As I posted before, I think they are amazing as well. Everyone on this forum is amazing; I know some other people have posted that; but I want to say it as well.
