Heres a few pointers my friend shared with me when it comes to horror movies.

1. Understand that you have to make the audience feel the movie as if it was really taking place.

2. Understand its not everyday someone dies next to you or in fact that you are dying.

3. Mentally prepare yourself before the scene. You have to understand that there is a large shock factor in horror movies. If you realize this you'll twice as good.

4. After you mentally prepare yourself try to forget it. If your expecting it to much the camera and audience will expect it.

Try to stay very calm, the calmer you are the more the shock factor plays a part in the scene.

Oh boy, I don't think I would ever play in a horror movie, so I don't think these tips would come in handy. :( I've never been a fan of those films, and I think they are a complete waste of time and money. I hope no one bans me for my opinion on horror films.

That's great, 'cause I would have no idea how to prepare for a horror movie. I suppose you have to expect and prepare for the worst when it comes to those particular films. I'd be very intimidated to play in one. I wouldn't know if I was confident enough for the part.

Absolutely amazing tips thanks for sharing these. I always forget theres different procedures for different genre. They have the same goal but the preparation is always different.

Great tips as always! I feel I would be great at a horror movie to be honest. I think I could manage to keep the "shock factor" high in the movie. But everythings always different when you try it.
