Beginners  Acting Course

10 Week Course starting on Wednesday, Sept 1 and ending on Wednesday, November 3

(make up classes will be made available for individuals who provide advanced notice of absence).

Classes are Wednesdays from 8:00pm - 10:00pm.

Scene Study - Locating, labeling and applying beats

Character Development - Wants, hurdles, tactics,

Emotions - Recall, substitution, accessibility

Improvisation - Fundamentals of discovery and confidence

Memorization - Techniques and application

Advanced Scene Study - Facts, choices, transitions

Emotions - Removing emotional blockages

Advanced Character Development - Encoding

Advanced Improvisation - Dramatic extended form

Auditioning - Monologues, scenes, cold reading

Basic Stage Combat - Hand to hand (no weapons)
