This is actually a great post! Newer actors/actress' will most likely check here first and they can ask us questions and we can point them to the correct topic and or find an answer for them. Great thinking.
Thanks I was hoping people would find this topic useful! I hope it gets used alot by all the newer actors and or members.
I guess I'll get this topic started! LOL. Umm....what do you think is the hardest part about being an actor? Is it the finding of the agent? Finding the right job, etc. I hope you can answer those questions for us. Hopefully that'll get the ball rolling.
Hello, My name is karin. I am 18 years old, and I have alot of questions actually. However, im not going to bother you with all of them. I live in WV, and I know its a long shot to become an actress, but it is the only thing I have ever wanted to do. What should I do to acheive my goals of getting into the buisness?

Hi Karin, first of all, don't worry that you're starting from the bottom. Fact is, everyone does. So here are my tips, start as early as you can. Years in the industry matters. What you have to do ASAP right now is to enroll in summer classes/workshops. You MUST build a connection to the industry and these classes ought to get you started. Join as much plays and acting gigs that you can, even if you have to start as an extra (again, everyone does). By the time you've gain a certain experience, try applying for acting companies. You can do this by either a) looking yourself or b) getting an acting agent.
Hope that helps. Break a leg!
