6 Ways to Get Six Pack AbsOctober 26, 2009
Today everyone wants six pack abs. Almost all of us dream of having an athletic body and rock solid six packs to show off. While for a person in other profession a six pack is just something nice to have, it is a must for those who are aspiring for a career in modeling or acting. Today almost every male model sports a six pack and therefore it's no longer a luxury; it is a necessity. However to get a six pack you need to have the knowledge of how your body works and the correct techniques through which you can develop your six pack. This article will show you some ways in which you can develop a sexy six pack.
However, before we start, let's clear out some myths. Many people think that abs needs to be developed. However this may not be necessarily true. We all have well developed abs but they are hidden behind layers of fat. Therefore you cannot develop a six abs simply by focusing on abs crunches or other abs centric exercises. What we need to do is to bring an overall lifestyle change to allow our six packs to show automatically.
1. Keep yourself hydrated: How would you feel if you have to go through a day without a single drop of water? You are likely to feel arid at the end of the day. Studies have shown that keeping yourself lubricated with water really helps in developing your muscles. So, make it a point to keep drinking sufficient amount of water throughout the day. Make it a ritual to start your day with a glass or two of water. If you feel like, you can also squeeze a lemon in it. Ideally, you should drink at least three and a half liters of water throughout the day when you are working out.
2. Never skip your breakfast: It's likely that you do not feel hungry as soon as you get up. However, make it a habit to have your breakfast within 1 hour of your wakeup time. People generally skip over their breakfast either because they are not hungry or they are getting late. However, they do not realize that because of this they tend to overeat during the lunch. Skipping the breakfast is not a good way of dieting.
3. Always remember your goals: Your goal is to get a six pack right? Keep reminding it to yourself so that you don't overeat when you go out with friends.
4. Plan out your lunch: When you are an aspiring actor, there is little time to prepare an elaborate lunch. You will spend a lot of time going to auditions and shuttling from one office to another. You may tend to have burgers and hotdogs in place of a healthy diet. That is why it is very important that you plan out your lunch before hand and carry a lunchbox with you. Keep some fruits, such as an apple, in your bag. Along with it, prepare a protein shake and a non greasy chicken sandwich to carry along. This will prevent you from raiding a McDonalds every time you feel hungry.
5. Focus more on losing fat: When you workout, focus more on burning fat rather than doing abs crunches. Your abs will automatically show when you lose fat from your belly. Therefore focus more on cardio exercises, such as running, interval training, etc. This does not mean that you should stop doing sit-ups. However, focusing more on losing fat is a more effective approach to get a six pack.
6. Skip the late night movie: If you really want a six pack, you have to sacrifice a few things and this is one of them. Your body needs rest to develop your muscles properly. If you are not getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep, you are hampering the full potential of your muscles to develop. Therefore make it a point to get to bed early and sleep properly in order to grow your muscles.
The above were some ways in which you can bring changes in your lifestyle and ride our way to a six pack. However always remember that it takes time and lots of discipline to do the same thing every single day. Therefore focus on your goals and carry out your plan each day.
