How to Break Into Show BusinessIf you're looking to break into show business and you're looking to become famous like all of the other stars in some of your favorite television shows and movies today, then you're going to have to learn a few things first. First of all, you have to realize that this will not happen instantly or overnight and in most cases it won't happen at all. You also must realize the level of dedication that is required here for you to move forward and to pursue your career into this particular level of business.

However, shockingly and what's surprisingly is that people are not so much scared of getting turned down for roles as they are for something else. It's been a scientific study and proven that people are more afraid of public speaking than they are of death and for some reason that is astonishing. It's hard to believe that people would rather die than speak in front of a lot of people, but don't feel bad because this is a very common phobia and a lot of people just simply freeze up when they try to sing, act or entertain a group of people they've never seen or they don't know.

First and foremost, what could help with this phobia is to get some head shot photos of yourself and pass them around from different and various agencies. It also helps to post pictures of yourself online to see what the general public thinks of you and here's why. Online, people are completely different from who they are offline because they can be whoever they want to be. They will tell you the God's honest truth and they will let you know exactly what they think and if that thought scares you, then you need to get over it if you want to become an actor in the spotlight in front of people offline.

Uploading your talent online and allowing comments to be posted on it will show you what people are honestly thinking of your work. When getting photos of yourself, these should be clear in a professional (suit and tie) and should show all of your face. They should be around 8 x 10 and not some ridiculous size, but big enough to fit into a wallet comfortably. These are just regular shots that show your face, and they should not be glamorous shots but they also should not be stupid shots like a Myspace picture pose.

You should also beware of an agent who claims not to have his own office because acting and modeling agencies alike all supply their own offices to agents and there is a lot of scams going around taking money from people in the hopes of making their dreams come true. This has happened a lot and while it's a shameless thing to do, never the less you should be careful and never do business with someone who doesn't have his own office.
